Tom Hardy to replace Daniel Craig as next James Bond

Rumours broke out late on Friday September 18 that Peaky Blinders actor Tom Hardy had been confirmed to be given the new licence to kill and will be Daniel’s successor as the MI6 agent in the popular franchise.

The Tom Hardy, 43-year-old was expected to be announced as the new Bond in November, but this now seems unlikely due to the on-going coronavirus pandemic.

Nevertheless, the outlet anticipates that an announcement will come before the end of 2020. While they also admitted that 2021 seems likely, especially if No Time To Die is delayed again.

The iconic 007 has been portrayed by 7 actors in total so far – with Sean Connery, David Niven, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig having assumed the role.

Tom Hardy has plenty of experience with high-octane, action-packed movies having starred in Mad Max: Fury Road in 2015.
