The fans of The Boys 2 series have been eagerly waiting for details about the second season of brutal super hero satire The Boys.
The Boys season 2 release date is September 4, 2020. The date was revealed on June 26 in a livestream event hosted by Patton Oswalt. Amazon has also released The Boys season 2 new trailer.
Kripke announced that, rather than everything releasing at once, instead oly the first three episodes will air on September 4, and the the remaining five will go live each week on Amazon Prime Video to give “the audience the chance to just absorb and recover after every episode”. That means the finale will go out on October 9.
Jennifer Salke, Head of Amazon Studios, said: “We are thrilled that The Boys have surpassed our predictions for viewing in its first two weeks, and has become one of our most watched Amazon Original series by our Prime Video customers.
“This creates great momentum and excitement for us as we get ready for season two.”

We’ll also be treated to some new additions including actor and comedian Patton Oswalt (Agents of SHIELD) in a top secret role, Goran Visnjic (Santa Clarita Diet) as a charismatic church leader, and Claudia Doumit (Timeless) as a promising young congresswoman.

The Boys season 2 plot
The first season of The Boys ended on a huge cliffhanger, as Billy Butcher found himself reunited with his missing wife, who is revealed to have been raising Homelander’s baby.
The Boys season 2 will have to pick up on the fallout of that reveal and find a way for Butcher to get off Homelander’s radar, which won’t be easy given his incredible powers.
The Boys Season 2 bring in a new handler and perhaps a few more superheroes.
