Beyonce has surprised fans with a trailer for her new movie Black Is King, which is set to arrive on Disney Plus next month.
Beyoncé released a trailer on her website for the film, which she has written, directed and executive produced.
The album “Black Is King,” is written, directed, and executive produced by Beyoncé itself, and it will premiere globally on Disney Plus on July 31, 2020.
The trailer for the visual album features Beyoncé, her husband Jay-Z, and their children Blue Ivy, Rumi, and Sir. The trailer narrated by Beyoncé, features a group of black men huddled together before revealing an African king on a golden throne.
Beyonce shared a teaser video on Twitter today and wrote the caption
The visual album will “reimagine” the lessons given in The Lion King for the next generation of “kings and queens in search of their own crowns”.
According to Disney, the film was in production for a year, and included a cast and crew that represented diversity and connectivity.
