After the “Hill House” Netflix is now letting go of the ghosts in a new series property. Halloween is just around the corner and the OTT giant Netflix have unpacked their horror program ‘The Haunting of Bly Manor‘.
The new series comes from Mike Flanagan (“Absentia”, “Doctor Sleeps – Awakening”), who two years ago already delivered a successful Schauder production for the streaming service with “Spuk in Hill House”. For the sequel, Flanagan has hired a part of the “Hill House” cast again, but in new roles and a completely different story. It is based on a literary model, “The screwing of the screw” by Henry James from the 19th century.
We were already very impressed by Spuk in Hill House. We therefore assume that Haunted Bly Manor will be of a similar high quality and, above all, very scary. In our forecast we give a bold 4.5 out of 5 stars.
