The Peninsula, which was a huge hit at the Korean box office when the country’s cinemas resumed their activity following the COVID-19-inspired shutdown, appeared on Train to Busan four years after the zombie train outbreak. The cast of the film Peninsula includes Gang Dong-win and Lee Jung-Hyun. The film follows a former soldier, who along with his team, is sent to retrieve a truck full from the wastelands of the Korean Peninsula where zombies and rebel militias live.

The film takes place in the background of a smoky wasteland with dark skyscrapers and broken bridges. Somewhere in this zombie-infested neighborhood is a truck loaded with a whopping 20 million dollars.
Four Korean refugees who are too tired of being treated unfairly in Hong Kong are hired to recover the loot. The zombies are believed to be blind when night falls and are convinced that they can complete the mission. However, the small team has underestimated how difficult this challenge would be. The group of mercenaries wanders through the city and begins their bloody journey across the peninsula.
