Nvidia is promising big performance with the RTX 3080 the 28-billion transistor Ampere-based chips will deliver 3D graphics performance, up to two times that of the RTX 2080, and faster than even Nvidia’s RTX 2080 Ti card.
What has been a surprise is the presentation of a model that goes even further, the RTX 3090.

RTX 3080 is based on the new Ampere architecture, with 28,000 million transistors and replaces both the RTX 2080 and the RTX 2080 Ti; in fact, Nvidia boasts twice the performance compared to the 2080.
It is a graphics designed to play at 4K resolution and 60 frames per second.
The 3080 will mount about 10GB of memory, and will require a good power supply, with a new 12-pin connector (an adapter will be included to use two eight-pin cables).
In fact, for the cooling of the reference model Nvidia has devised a new heatsink that draws cold air from the bottom of the case and expels it from behind and above.
The RTX 3080 will be available starting September 17, and will be priced at $699.

The star of the day was the RTX 3090, which appears to be the successor to the Titan; therefore, it is a graphic designed only for the most enthusiastic, willing to pay about 1,499 starting dollars for a gigantic graphic ready to play at 8K resolution, for which it has support for the new HDMI 2.1.
The biggest surprise was the announcement that Fortnite will use RTX technologies, with ray-tracing to improve graphics and DLSS to increase resolution without affecting performance.
RTX 3070 Specifications & Price
If we cannot make such a large investment to make the generational leap, Nvidia also showed its entry card for the RTX 3000 range: the new RTX 3070.
This model allows you to play at higher resolution and frame rate than 1440p and 60 frames per second, but it does not reach the 4K at 60 fps of the 3080. Still, Nvidia claims that it is faster than the 2080 Ti.
The RTX 3070 with 8GB of memory, prices will start at $ 499 and it will be available in October.
Nvidia has announced that games like Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War will be compatible with RTX technologies including ray-tracing. Other highly anticipated titles like Cyberpunk 2077 were also demonstrated.
