Mukesh Ambani 9th among top-10 richest men, as net worth jumps to $64.6 billion

Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries Ltd overtakes Larry Page, Sergey Brin to become 9th richest person in the world, according to the Forbes Real-Time Billionaire list, has jumped to $64.6 billion, making him the only Asian tycoon in the exclusive club of the world’s top 10 richest people.

Mukesh Ambani chairs and runs $88 billion (revenue) oil and gas giant Reliance Industries, among India’s most valuable companies. The sharp increase in net worth today likely came about from the stock price of Reliance Industries, which rose 6.5 percent today.
