Initial reports said Stallion, 25, was nursing a bloodied foot following the incident, but she took to her Instagram account on Wednesday to give her side of the story, although it is still unclear how she sustained the injuries.

“The narrative that is being reported about Sunday’s morning events are inaccurate and I’d like to set the record straight. On Sunday morning, I suffered gunshot wounds as a result of a crime that was committed against me and done with the intention to physically harm me, I was never arrested, the police officers drove me to the hospital to remove the bullets. I’m incredibly grateful to be alive and that I’m expected to make a full recovery but it was important for me to clarify the details about this traumatic night.” She’s currently recovering, so she can come back to music “as soon as possible.” the “Sex Talk” rapper said on IG.
She added in a comment on Instagram, “I was never arrested. This whole experience was an eye opener and a blessing in disguise. I hate that it took this experience for me to learn how to protect my energy.”
The altercation happened early Sunday morning after shots were fired outside a house in the Hollywood Hills and an SUV reportedly similar to Lanez’s was seen leaving. Officers allegedly found a concealed weapon while searching the rapper’s car. Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion were hanging out at pool parties earlier in the day, even meeting up with Kylie Jenner. The sobering ending seems to have been a wake-up call.
