Happy National New Jersey Day 2020

Every year on 27th July people of Garden State NJ celebrate as National New Jersey Day.

New Jersey is a northeastern U.S. state with some 130 miles of Atlantic coast. New Jersey also known as the garden state. Abraham Browning of Camden is given credit for giving New Jersey the nickname the Garden State.

New Jersey is known for many things including its beautiful beaches, busy roads, great food, garden, intense politics, diverse culture, powerhouse industries and influential figures.

James named the colony New Jersey to honor Carteret, who had been the Governor of Jersey, a British island in the English Channel.

New Jersey ranked 4th in the nation for public safety. Ranking 4th best for low property crime, and 8th best for violent crime.


The first Miss America was chosen in Atlantic City in 1921.

The first boardwalk in the world was build in Atlantic City, in 1870.
