Documents were filed by the 38-year-old singer and talk show host in a Los Angeles court on June 4, 2020. TODAY has reached out to Clarkson for comment.
The 38-year-old Clarkson and the 43-year-old Blackstock have two beautiful children a 5-year-old daughter and a 4-year-old son.
According to Entertainment Tonight, Kelly Clarkson filed for divorce from Brandon Blackstock, her husband of nearly seven years. Documents were filed by the 38-year-old singer and talk show host in a Los Angeles court on June 4, 2020.
TMZ report that Clarkson – who is worth an estimated $45million – has asked that their prenup be ‘enforced’ and listed the separation date as ‘TBD.’
Clarkson met the music manager, 43, at a rehearsal for the Academy of Country Music Awards in 2006. They got engaged in December 2012.
They married in October 2013 tying the knot at Blackberry Farm in Walland, Tennessee. Clarkson confirmed the nuptials with a photo on Twitter saying, “I’m officially Mrs. Blackstock :).”
Blackstock, who is the stepson of country superstar Reba McEntire, Blackstock, a talent manager who is the son of Clarkson’s former manager, has two children from his first marriage, 17-year-old daughter Savannah and 13-year-old son Seth.
