Choreographer Saroj Khan passed away on Friday, July 3, 2020, at 1.52 am. The choreographer passed away due to cardiac arrest.
The cremation services took place at Malad Muslim Kabristaan early in the morning.

She also tested negative for Covid-19 when she was admitted to the hospital.
Born in 1948, Saroj Khan started her career as a child artiste at the age of 3. Graduating to a back-up dancer in the 1950s, she worked with choreographer B Sohanlal.
In the 1950s, Saroj began working as a background dancer and got her first break as an independent choreographer with Geeta Mera Naam in 1974.
Mr India (1987), Nagina (1986), Chandni (1989), Tezaab (1988), and Thanedaar (1990) had some of the memorable songs choreographed by her. She collaborated with Madhuri again in Kalank (2018).
Saroj Khan won three National Awards for Best Choreography for her work in Devdas, Jab We Met and the 2007 Tamil film Shringaram.
Saroj Khan’s best work was with actors Sridevi and Madhuri Dixit, the prominent dancing stars of the ‘80s and ‘90s. Her work with Madhuri Dixit that made her famous.
